Here's What We're Looking For

MySummerCamps, the most popular online directory for summer camps in the USA and Canada, is looking for fresh writing talents to become regular contributors to the site. If you consider yourself an expert about the activities that happen in your city or neighborhood and have the wish to write about it in a smooth and engaging way, we want to hear from you!

This is a 100% freelance, telecommuting position. Assignments, writing, editing and submissions are all handled through our online system. We will provide you with a style guide, article suggestions and pay per article. All you need is a computer, internet access and the ability to deliver clean, concise copy on topics like “What makes Miami, Florida exciting for Kids” or “Why would I send my child to camp in this city?” and “Why pick a Marine Science Camp this summer” along with general information pieces.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong and engaging writing skills
• Keen knowledge of one or more aspects of the summer camp world (Cities, programs, sessions, activities, etc..)
• Ability to write in an authoritative, unbiased tone
• 1+ years of journalism experience (nice to have)
• Strong research and fact-checking skills (nice to have)
